Our Story

This venture is a love story to my past and present.

My name is Jordan Johnson and I am the creator of Lemon + Lamb. Every piece here has been carefully handcrafted using polymer clay and other such findings. As a small business, many pieces are made to order, and everything is crafted with care. I started creating earrings on a whim in early 2021 during the pandemic, and after years of being asked if I sell my pieces, I've finally decided to do just that with Lemon + Lamb.

 

As for the name:

Lemon is my dog (pictured above). She’s sour, sweet, and one of the best parts of my life.

Lemon represents the whimsy and eclectic side of this business.

Lamb was the maiden name of my great grandmother, Anne Lamb Davis, born in 1911. Someone I loved with all of my heart as a child, and who paved the way as a black fashion designer in the early to mid 1900’s.

Lamb represents the elevated design side.

I started making polymer clay earrings in 2021. I’ve always called it my pandemic hobby, but it’s become so much more than that. It’s where I express myself in so many ways.

I created Lemon + Lamb because I loved being able to create elevated and fun earrings that can be integrated into normal wardrobes.

Here’s to those who came before, and those who come after, but most of all, here's to today.
